Doris Burke

Doris Burke (born Doris Sable on January 4, 1965) is a sideline reporter and color analyst for ESPN college basketball, as well as NBA on ESPN and NBA on ABC games. She is primarily an analyst on Big East games for men's college basketball, often teaming with Mike Patrick or Dave O'Brien. She is also an analyst for WNBA games on MSG, and has worked on New York Knicks games. Burke was the first female analyst to call a New York Knicks game on radio and television.〔 She played college basketball for the Providence Friars, finishing her career as the school's leader in assists.

"Little Doris Sable grew up in Manasquan, N.J., dreaming of playing in the NBA. How much of her male audience can’t relate to that?"〕 Doris Sable was the youngest of eight children. She started playing basketball in the second grade.〔 Her basketball idols growing up were Kyle Macy and Kelly Tripucka.〔
She played as a point guard at Manasquan High School. She was recruited by several eastern colleges.〔
